What’s on in September

September is a great month! Hopefully you’re felling refreshed from the summer and ready for action. Generally the weather is pretty good, and there is still tons of stuff going on in and around Derbyshire.

Trentham Live (1st to 4th September)

The Trentham Estate located in Staffordshire is holding a spectacular 4 night live music event. Join Secret Symphony, Steps, Craig David and McFly in the stunning setting of the historic Trentham Gardens. This is going to be a very popular event so get your tickets ASAP.

Chatsworth Country Fair (2nd to 4th September)

This is a great start to the month of September, and is one of England’s Spectacular annual outdoor events. With the grand ring entertainment, the shopping village, a fine food village and a traditional fair there is something for everyone – not to mention its stunning location.

Matlock Bath Illuminations (10th September to 30th October)

Every Saturday and Sunday night from the 10th September there will be a spectacular display of illuminated and decorated boats along the river Derwent, with fireworks finals every Saturday in October.

Derbyshire Day (22nd September)

Derbyshire Day has been around since 2006 when Radio Derby decided that Derbyshire needed a day to celebrate what makes it special – just like many other counties have done for many years. We’re not sure if there are any special celebrations going ahead this year, but we will definitely be celebrating all things Derbyshire on the 22nd.

Remember that we can help arrange accommodation and transport to events – all you have to do is ask. There are also loads of other things to get up to in and around Derbyshire.
