March is officially the month of Spring, and there is lots going on locally to keep you busy. Whether you’re local or are staying in the area, we hope this gives you an idea of what’s happening and what could be fun to check out with friends or family for that special occasion.
St Patricks Day 17th March
This is a great excuse to get out and enjoy a Guinness, many of the bars and pubs throughout the area have got things planned so get your friends together and enjoy.
Midlands Grand National Meeting 19th March
This class 1 run race, run every March is only second to the famous Grand National in length. The races are a fantastic group day out. Uttoxeter Racecourse is a great venue with restaurants and bars, and you can even hire your own private viewing booth. We always recommend buying your tickets in advance.
Pub in the Woods – 26th March
The Pub in the Woods is re-opening on March 26th. This great venue was very popular last year. Hire a fire pit or your own cabana and sit back and enjoy being in the woods. With a great list of live music and drinks and food available, this really makes a unique experience. We recommend booking your table in advance is this really does get booked up fast.
The Great Derbyshire Beer Festival on the 1-2nd April
This is a brand-new event dedicated to the best keg and cask beers available in Derbyshire. What a great way to celebrate anything Derbyshire with your friends! Held at the Bustler Street Market in Derby, this really is going to be a great day out.
Other Group Activities
There is loads to do for groups in Derbyshire and the Peak District every month. Why not book a brewery or distillery tour – they’re a great way of getting your friends together or celebrating an event. We have fantastic local places such as the White Peak Distillery. They have just released their very own single malt Wire Works Whiskey. We can arrange transport and recommend other pubs or restaurants to visit, so why not make a day of it.
