What’s on in June

Its officially the summer, and there is so much to do and see in Derbyshire, the Peak District and its’ surrounding areas.

 

Platinum Jubilee

June really kicks off with a bang with the Queens Platinum Jubilee! There are loads of town, village and family celebrations planned across the region. So get out your flags and bunting, and enjoy the 4 day weekend! Don’t forget – if you have family and friends staying with you, we have loads of activities available that can keep everyone out of trouble. Contact us for availability.

 

Festivals

Some of the large festivals in the region kick off again in June. The Download Festival based at Donnington Park starts on Friday 10th June.

There is also the Fake Festival on Saturday 18th June in Markeaton Park Derby.

If you’re looking for a more food orientated experience, check out the Matlock Food and Drink Festival on the 11th and 12th June. Later in the month, Amber Valley has a Beer and Cider Festival from 30th June to 2nd July.

 

Others

Don’t forget Ladies Day at Uttoxeter Racecourse on 9th June. Nottingham Racecourse have several different races on throughout June and a couple of evening start times.

Don’t forget Catton Hall is hosting yet another sausage and cider festival right in the south of the region. Held over the 24th June weekend, this will be a great event at a stunning location.
