What’s on in August
School is out and everyone has that summer holiday feeling, not forgetting the bank holiday at the end of the month. So what will you get up to?
Starting off the August events is this fun Dog Lovers Festival (Friday 5th to Sunday 7th August, Elvaston Showground) weekend that you can enjoy with your 4 legged friends. This is the ultimate dog friendly festival set in the Derbyshire countryside. Featuring some great tribute acts, food and drink.
Experience a unique time at the British heavy metal festival Bloodstock Open Air (Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th August at Catton Park Derbyshire) sure to be a rocking weekend!
We are very excited about Thornbridge Peakender (Friday 19th – Sunday 21st August at Bakewell showground) a beer, food and music festival set in the Heart of the Peak District.
Darley Dance Festival (Saturday 20th August, Darley Motor Club) is a 11 hour non-stop dance festival. Soundtracked by a selection of electronic music scene veterans, fan favourites and local heroes, the all-day festival offers the chance to relive the heady parties of the past and enjoy classic dance anthems.
What’s happening over the bank holiday weekend?
The Darley Park Weekender is a fabulous 3 day event over the August Bank Holiday. Featuring music and vibes from Ibiza on the Friday, 80’s music on the Saturday and a classical finish with fireworks on the Sunday.
Matlock Summer Food & Drinks Destival (Saturday 27th August to Sunday 28th August at Hall Leys Park), this popular event incorporates food, drink and entertainment.
