Food Glorious Food!

No short stay or weekend away is complete without fantastic food. Even if the food isn’t the main event, you are going to want to fuel your group to have an amazing time. It’s also an area that is often overlooked or ignored when booking a group weekend away. Stag and Hen dos can be more interested in the activities, games and the drinks planned rather than what’s for lunch.

We suggest that you put a bit of planning in, to avoid any hangry moments and to make the whole experience more relaxed. If you’ve booked a luxury holiday cottage with a state of art kitchen, it still doesn’t mean that you want to be chained to the kitchen sink all weekend. Not forgetting that on average most groups are around 12 to 20 people, and that’s a lot of work!

Most property owners will allow supermarket deliveries, so organise a group shopping list with all the essentials. Or you could ask members of your group to each bring something with them.

Sometimes the fact that you have a few different options can be overwhelming, and deciding for a whole group of people can be a bit daunting. Bring it up at the planning stage, or talk through your plans with one of our experts. We can easily arrange a breakfast stop, recommend lovely country pubs or book you into a smashing venue for your evening meal. We can also arrange for food to be bought to you! Breakfast, afternoon tea and grazing platters can be delivered to your door. Not to mention personal chefs, pizza ovens and BBQ specialists can also be arranged. You may even decide to make the food the main event and have a food activity. We’ve got plenty to choose from.

Because there are so many options, we have a series of blogs coming out this month giving you a bit more detail on going out as a group in the area, onsite catering options and food experiences. We also have a blog coming out on local food festivals, so if you’re a real foodie you and your group can get the most out of your weekend.
