The Village is filmed in a number of scenic country locations including Hayfield, Chapel-en-le-Frith and Edale. Written by BAFTA-winning writer Peter Moffat, The Village is a six part series starring John Simms and Maxine Peake, starting in 1914 and ending in 1920.
