We all love a great Indian meal right? Especially if a celebration’s in order. And we’re pretty good at arranging celebrations, so when we heard about Amarpal (pictured) and his team we just had to get involved. This group cooking class is in the Midlands.

We know that loads of our groups either order an Indian take away or go out to an Indian restaurant while they’re with us for the weekend. So why not make an activity out of it? And that’s exactly what this is.

Amarpal and his team will guide you through the process of preparing and cooking a mouth watering Indian meal, and then you get to eat it (obvs.) You’ll get plenty of gorgeous food, so no need to order that take away.

You can either go along to Amarpal’s catering kitchen and take your finished food away with you in takeaway containers, or we can arrange for him to come to your accommodation. Most groups enjoy having this experience set up in their accommodation, and we turn up with everything you’ll need, such as workstations, cookers, chopping boards, pans, fuel and all the ingredients.

You’ll learn how to cook some fantastic Samosas with dips to start. While your group are enjoying those, Amarpal will do a demonstration of his superb culinary skills for you. Then it’s onto preparing the Saffron Pilau Rice and Channa Masala.

Then we’ll move onto the preparation and cooking of a chicken dish or Paneer dish as a vegetarian option if preferred. We can’t stress enough how gorgeous your food will taste. And don’t worry if you’ve never even picked up a spatula before.

Amarpal and his team are with you every step of the way, and he’ll get you creating dishes you wouldn’t have thought possible. If you’ve got a particular dish that you always wanted to learn how to cook, we’ll do our very best to arrange that for you. And you can choose to have it as hot and spicy as you wish. Careful cheeky.

Generally there will be 2 people per workstation, and everyone who takes part gets a certificate of completion. We’ll run it as a competition between you all if you fancy, and we’ll even give the winning work station a bottle of bubbly.

My immense thanks to Greg and Hard Days Knight for organising me a fantastic stag do 25-27 March 2022. Unlike some of the national stag do agencies, HDK offer a personal service and really know the detail of all of the activities they offer and on the accomodation options. Greg was an absolute pleasure to deal with, nothing was too much and no question too silly. I really felt assured that I was in great hands with someone who put my mind at rest that they knew what they were doing, and the proof really was in the pudding, as all 15 of my group had a fantastic time.
