An opulent and spectacular hall near Leek
The Hall is located on the edge of the Peak District. On a clear day, there are views of miles around. This grade II listed building was built around 1590. It boasts exposed beams and quirky features. With a lovely mature garden, it’s the property to choose if you like a funky house!
Please note that no outdoor music/bands are allowed once it darkens.
Starting in 2023, a five-person hot tub will be added to the beautiful garden area.
Living Room
The Hall’s living room has comfy leather sofas, beautiful views, and a door out to the garden. The thick stone walls keep it cool in the summer, and in the winter, the large wood-burning stove and thick curtains make you feel cosy and warm, offering the ideal place for a gathering. You’ll find an LCD TV, a DVD player, and many books here.
Music Room
This lovely property also has a separate music room with space to relax. With lots of original beams and 17th-century shutters, it’s the perfect place for a party, with a stereo (bring your cable and music device), comfortable sofas, a record player, and thick walls so you can sing to your heart out! You will also find a piano for those looking for live music to sing along to!
Snug
Finally, the little snug completes the social spaces with its exposed wattle and daub wall. There’s an Xbox, a large TV to enjoy games or movies, and a beer fridge.
Dining Room
The Dining Room, with soothing lighting and an exposed 16th-century fireplace, is uniquely designed for evening use. A large dining table can seat up to 20 guests. Add some fresh flowers from the garden, great food, and wine, and it’s the perfect place for those special evenings with friends.
Smallbone Kitchen
Here you will find a unique maple wood and granite-topped kitchen handmade by Smallbone. It has everything that you’ll need and more. A built-in microwave combination oven and two additional Neff ovens will cater for the largest of meals. It also contains a washer/dryer, dishwasher, and a fridge freezer (with plenty of room to chill those bottles!). The equipment is of the highest standard and includes everything possible.
A door leading off the Smallbone kitchen leads to a secondary kitchen with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and washing machine.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
All the beds have thick duvets and quality mattresses. All bedrooms have carpeted floors, most of which have lovely views of the gardens or the surrounding Peak District.
The Hall also has six bath/ shower rooms.
Gardens
The Hall has a lovely large garden. Surrounded by gorgeous stone walls on two sides, the view to the West is stunning. It has plenty of outdoor seating, flower beds, an arbour and herb circle, and grass for that impromptu kickabout.
Games Room

The Hall has free WiFi, but you can only expect countryside speeds due to the location!

Early December we undertook a stag do booked through Hard Days Knight (HDK). Greg and the team there made the whole experience as easy and seamless as possible, helping us book amazing accommodation in Belper for 13 people and then finding us fantastic activities to fill the stag. Greg was a pleasure to wok with being friendly and understanding as our plans shifted around a bit and organised a shooting experience and pub tour for the stag both of which went down amazingly. The shooting experience as a fun filled morning of competition and laughs then the pub tour took us to some fantastic pubs, with great choices of beer and food. We'd all be happy to do the tour again and see what other pubs Greg would find for us! Through HDK we had transport to and from the activities sorted and it made the weekend flow so smoothly. I can't thank HDK enough for making it such an easy experience and I'd recommend them to anyone looking to organise a Stag or similar event. Thank you so much :)

First of all would love to say thank you to greg and the team from the start right up to the end they was always helpful and never to busy to help. We booked a stag weekend with them that consisted with a log cabin, quad biking and a zombie experience the whole group had an amazing time so much that we are now looking at doing it yearly (after convincing the wives). So Thank you to HDK for an amazing stag weekend that was planned by yourselves. Ben

I used HDK for my sisters hen do. If you want hassle free please and organisation, use Hard Days Knight was effortless . I just picked where and when and what activities we wanted and it was all organised for us. Very very helpful and accommodating couldn’t do enough, was a pleasure. Answered any questions kept in touch.
