This stunning Country House is a restored Georgian house dating back to the 1690s and combines a classic frame with modern features and contemporary furnishings. Sitting in 1.5 acres of gardens and 3.8 acres of paddock and apple orchards, this holiday venue in Derbyshire has a range of features to ensure you have a great stay.
Please note no external noise is allowed between 11 pm and 9 am.
As you walk in, you’re welcomed by two grand entrance halls perfect for meeting and greeting guests. On the ground floor are two cloakrooms, a downstairs toilet, and two reception rooms which maintain original features and charming views of the garden and courtyard.
The kitchen comes with Victorian leaded light windows and forms the heart of this house along with the neighbouring orangery. It offers a breakfast bar and a dining area for 26. The kitchen was handmade and features timber finishes, a kitchen island, and oakwood flooring, making it the perfect spot for all the guests to come together and converse while the cooks in the group can demonstrate their skills.
The fully equipped kitchen has a full-size American fridge/freezer, two dishwashers, an instant hot water tap, a wine fridge and two coffee machines.
There is always a starter supply of tea, coffee, butter, milk, bread, sugar, salt and pepper in the kitchen upon your arrival.
This party house near Nottingham has a beautiful handmade orangery with fully double-glazed south-facing windows and timber frames. Offering ample seating for all guests, this splendid room can be used all year round and has spectacular garden views. You’ll also have convenient access to the terrace and gardens through stunning French doors.
The snug, the oldest part of the house, is a lovely room with original features, including exposed beams, travertine flooring and Victorian windows. To add elegant and traditional finishing touches, an elegant grand piano stands just waiting for a pianist.
The utility room featuring a washing machine, tumble dryer, and ironing facilities will also be available for guests during their stay.
Bedrooms
This gorgeous property comes with eight spacious bedrooms that can accommodate 22 guests. In addition, two additional dressing rooms can be converted into bedrooms to sleep four other guests.
Bedroom 1: The 100 ft master bedroom suite has two dressing rooms and an en-suite bathroom. One of these dressing rooms is so spacious that it can be used as a double bedroom or a nursery (with a double sofa bed). In the primary bedroom, you will find original exposed beams, a Victorian open fireplace, Victorian leaded light windows, and breathtaking views of the courtyard and gardens. The bed can either be a super king or two single beds. The en-suite comes with a double jacuzzi whirlpool bath, perfect for couples. Additionally, there is a double sink, vanity unit, W.C., airing cupboard, and ceramic flooring.
Bedroom 2: The second bedroom is a converted apple store that is perfect for the children in the group. Six guests can be accommodated in the six single beds. It also has a free-view T.V. and spiral access from the main reception room.
Bedrooms 3, 4 and 5: Large double bedrooms – super king or twin, all with free-view T.V.s.
Bedrooms 6 and 7: 2 double bedrooms, both with free-view T.V.s. Beds can be either super-king or twin.
Bedroom 8: Family bedroom with two double beds. This room can be used for one person, a couple, two couples or an entire family.
There are two further bathrooms, an oversized jacuzzi, a whirlpool bath, a power shower, a double sink, fully fitted units, and granite surfaces. You’ll also find a toilet and an airing cupboard on this floor. Moreover, you will find ceramic flooring, a Victorian fireplace, and stunning courtyard views. A luxury shower room on the second floor and a double sofa bed for additional guests if needed.
You will find ample entertainment facilities at this party house near Nottingham. Please bring your USB with your films and enjoy it in the 16-seater cinema room with a 3-metre screen and surround sound system. There is also a 12-seater hot tub available in the garden summer house. Furthermore, there are two games rooms – one is a large pool & billiards room with a darts board, while the other consists of a full-size table tennis table and a wide variety of board games. The youngsters in the group and those young at heart will love this! They will also find the massive trampoline, children’s play area, basketball net, croquet/boules, and tree swing.
There is an all-weather grass tennis court for the active guests in the group. Feel free to start a tournament and follow that with a relaxation session in the hot tub or jacuzzi.
The BBQ area is perfect for al fresco dining during the warmer summer months. You will find two gas BBQs provided, and there is also enough outdoor seating and tables.
Visited here last weekend, superb place very spacious, amazing property's on offer lovely views. Activities on offer are vast and there's so much to do we opted for karting and shooting and it didn't disappoint. We spent hours using the full sized pool table and the bedrooms were lovely and clean, if you want an all inclusive weekend away whether it's a stag do or any other gathering then this is ideal and when there's up to 12 people or even less if represents great value for money for what you get, thanks guys. James and the lads.

We went through Greg from HDK to help us organise a stag do for 13 lads in the Peak District. Straight from the off Greg was extremely accommodating and friendly, happy to help with all (a lot) of our questions. The activity day was a real highlight and exceeded my expectations, so a massive thank you Greg and the team for booking that and to all the guys who ran the activities. Brilliant all round. Amazing service from Greg at HDK. The snow thwarted our hen do plans at the last minute but Greg very diligently found us an alternative activity for no extra charge.
