A charming and peaceful property in the Peak District
This property only accepts relaxed countryside retreats for stag and hen parties, not those looking for loud parties.
This charming holiday home is located in the beautiful Peak District, offering accommodation for up to sixteen guests in seven bedrooms (two double, one quad, and four twins) with five bath/shower rooms. The fabulous large living room in this family-friendly house in the Peak District has plenty of space for all your guests to relax. Plus there is a large dining room and a games room with table tennis and table football. It has a pretty garden and terrace with outside seating, a barbecue and fabulous views up the little valley. For those who prefer to sleep downstairs, Merrymeet has four downstairs bedrooms and three downstairs bath/shower rooms. Please note hot tubs aren’t allowed at this venue.
The property is built of traditional stone and has every facility for one large group. It’s centrally heated, and all electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included in the price of your stay. There are a couple of stables to store bikes or other outdoor gear.
This charming property is situated in Back O’th Brook, a delightful hamlet of only a few houses, making it particularly great for groups who want to enjoy the quiet and beauty of the location. The little lane goes nowhere except to a couple of farms. A little brook runs next to the property and flows down the valley to join the River Manifold.
Living Room
The large living room has lovely leather sofas and a wood-burning stove (free logs provided.) The property has central heating and plenty to entertain, with a TV with Freeview channels, CD and radio, books and games, a speaker (please bring your aux cable and music player) and a DVD player. Three doors onto the patio and windows to the front make this a charmingly lit room.
Dining Room and Kitchen
The dining room can fit all 16 of your guests around a single large table. Just leading off the dining room, you will find the kitchen, with granite work surfaces, four hobs, two ovens, a Dualit toaster, a fridge/freezer, and cupboards complete with all the equipment you could need.
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Every bed has handmade mattresses, incredibly thick duvets and pillows.
It has seven bedrooms of two doubles, four twins, and one quad. For those not wanting to take the stairs, there are four ground-floor bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms; on the first floor, there are three bedrooms and two bath/shower rooms.
Games Room
There’s a large games room equipped with table football, table tennis table, a small pool table, and an Xbox.
Gardens
Alternatively, why not enjoy the great outdoors? With a beautiful garden looking out onto the valley, you’ll find tables and chairs and a BBQ. Please note the patio area is flat, but the garden is on a slope, so not ideal for ball games.
Wifi
There is Wifi. However, please expect countryside speeds.

Early December we undertook a stag do booked through Hard Days Knight (HDK). Greg and the team there made the whole experience as easy and seamless as possible, helping us book amazing accommodation in Belper for 13 people and then finding us fantastic activities to fill the stag. Greg was a pleasure to wok with being friendly and understanding as our plans shifted around a bit and organised a shooting experience and pub tour for the stag both of which went down amazingly. The shooting experience as a fun filled morning of competition and laughs then the pub tour took us to some fantastic pubs, with great choices of beer and food. We'd all be happy to do the tour again and see what other pubs Greg would find for us! Through HDK we had transport to and from the activities sorted and it made the weekend flow so smoothly. I can't thank HDK enough for making it such an easy experience and I'd recommend them to anyone looking to organise a Stag or similar event. Thank you so much :)

First of all would love to say thank you to greg and the team from the start right up to the end they was always helpful and never to busy to help. We booked a stag weekend with them that consisted with a log cabin, quad biking and a zombie experience the whole group had an amazing time so much that we are now looking at doing it yearly (after convincing the wives). So Thank you to HDK for an amazing stag weekend that was planned by yourselves. Ben

I used HDK for my sisters hen do. If you want hassle free please and organisation, use Hard Days Knight was effortless . I just picked where and when and what activities we wanted and it was all organised for us. Very very helpful and accommodating couldn’t do enough, was a pleasure. Answered any questions kept in touch.
