The accommodation comprise of a particularly delightful and exceptionally spacious detached farmhouse along with four magnificent modern barn conversions, furnished to the highest standard throughout
All of the cottages are spacious and ideal for ‘get togethers’, the smallest sleeps a minimum of 8 and the largest up to 20. All have large kitchens, lounges and bathrooms, and each one also has a pool table. One of the cottages even has a full sized snooker table and table tennis table
If you love your outdoor activities, there’s also a fantastic floodlit tennis court, which guests are welcome to use (you need to bring your own rackets and balls) and the surrounding grounds are ‘jaw droppingly ‘ beautiful.
Oh and if it helps, for an extra cost gorgeous meals can also be prepared and cooked – by the owners if you don’t like the idea of cooking!
The Farmhouse – sleeps max 20 people
The farmhouse was built in the 1860’s and retains many of the existing features such as the fireplaces and cornice in the sitting rooms and the impressive staircase. The house overlooks mature gardens with extensive lawns, a large pond to the front and the tennis court to the side ( you will need to bring your own rackets and balls). It is a superb property for larger groups and has the benefit of a lower ground floor which houses both a full sized slate snooker table and a games room complete with table tennis table.The ground floor has two large sitting rooms, each with a colour television ,one has a video attached. Both rooms retain many original features and have fireplaces for cosy open fires in the colder months. The large kitchen also provides the dining facilities. It has a large electric range cooker. On the ground floor there is also a shower room with shower, toilet and basin and one bedroom with double and single beds. There is also a utility room with a washing machine tumble dryer and freezer. The split level first floor has an additional five bedrooms. The main bedroom has a four poster bed with large en-suite bathroom, which has both a bath and a separate shower. A second large double bedroom has an additional single bed and also has an en-suite bathroom. Down the corridor you will find three more bedrooms one double and two twins, two of these rooms have hand wash basins. Also on this level is a family bathroom and a separate shower room. The second floor provides a further two bedrooms one twin and one quad room. There is also a single folding bed. All of the bedrooms have wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. There is an unfenced pond in the grounds
The Forge – sleeps max 18 people
This five star luxury barn conversion features seven bedrooms all with en-suite facilities. The property has been tastefully converted whilst retaining the original character and features of the barn. The very large beamed living area features an open plan staircase and a fully equipped quality kitchen. Double doors from the sitting room open out on to the sunny patio. This barn conversion has been furnished and decorated to a very high standard offering the ideal haven for your luxury break. There are two ground floor bedrooms, a twin with en-suite shower room and a bedroom with both a double and a single bed and a shower wet room accessible to wheel chair users. On the first floor there are 5 bedrooms, 3 double, one with an additional single bed and a twin are accessed via the main staircase, the final bedroom, a double has its own staircase. All of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities. There are also 2 single fold up beds which could be used if required and a travel cot. The extremely large open plan living area (approximately 50feet by 18feet) is ideal for large gatherings. There is shared use of the tennis court, you will need to bring rackets and balls
The Stables – sleeps max 18 people
This luxury accommodation features 6 spacious bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, 4 of which are en-suite,and has been skilfully renovated with period character. The property has a pool table and the use of the shared tennis court ( you will need to bring rackets and balls). The large kitchen with separate dining area is easily able to sit the whole of your party together, there is also a good sized sitting room with patio doors opening on to a private patio with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. The property has oil central heating, bed linen and towels are included, it has dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, freezer, fridge,microwave, patio with garden furniture and BBQ, TV DVD, video, stereo/CD player
The Granary – sleeps max 17 people
This impressive barn conversion offers spacious accommodation for the larger party. An interconnecting door to the Coach House can be opened to provide accommodation for up to 28 people, the door connects the two sitting rooms and so when open a huge communal area is created – ideal for special occasion celebrations ( when closed the access is sound and fire proof ). It boasts a large beamed sitting room in which is a colour television and video and a half sized snooker table. The beamed kitchen/dinning room is fully equipped, with an adjoining utility room which houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. From the kitchen door you set out on to a private patio area complete with barbecue and patio furniture, offering superb views over the rolling Derbyshire countryside. There is one triple bedroom on the ground floor and a cloak room with toilet and wash basin. On the first floor there are five bedrooms. The main bedroom has a double and a single bed, cot and an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath. There are two other bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms – one is a double( with single chair bed) and the other is a twin. There are a further two bedrooms, one double and one twin, which share a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. The Coach House – sleeps max 11 people
Nestling in the grounds of the large farmhouse, this single story barn conversion has been skilfully renovated , retaining many exposed beams and trusses. The sunny patio to the side offers privacy and wonderful views over the surrounding fields. The sitting room is complete with colour television and video and leads to the large fully equipped kitchen /dining room, which also houses a pool table. A separate utility room has a washing machine, tumble dryer and a fridge freezer. Of the four bedrooms two have en-suite facilities and the other two share a family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath. There is a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a double with en-suite shower room, an additional double room, and a triple bedroom (twin plus z bed). There is also a double sofa bed in the sitting room. There is shared use of the tennis court, you will need to bring rackets and balls
